Getting Arboreal: A Nature Collection Part II

My lovely Crape Myrtle tree transitioning from deep summer shade to warm and windy fall.

On the left you can see Molly the dog. I tried to get her out of the way but she as usual she wanted to be part of the event. Both photographs were taken with the same camera, at about 2:00 in the afternoon, with no color adjustments.

Fall in my part of the country is quiet. No riotous color, no striking weather changes. For the most part, things just progress to the next stage in the life cycle. Leaves fade and fall.

Flower and vegetables proceed along until a frost demands otherwise.

Julie at The Land of Lost Luggage is sponsoring her second annual virtual photo excursion: Getting Arboreal: A Nature Collection. This is part II of the collaborative event documents a single tree's journey from Summer to Fall/Winter to Spring. What a difference a few months make.

The color change in your photos is remarkable! You can even see the season in your lawn...thank you for playing along with us, Suzan! Oh..I am jealous of your hibiscus too....I can't grow a disease free hibiscus and it is really bothering me. Pat Molly for me.
