Time for Art
Friday, December 25, 2009 at 7:43PM I have plenty of ideas; just not enough time to work on them all. How often have you heard someone say that or said it yourself?
I have given some thought to creating time for art. In the end, I can determine how I spend my free time. Here are some things I am doing today to create more time for art:
- Reduce the number of blogs that I follow (now 65 down from over 300). I focus on those most relevant to fiber arts or individuals that I really connect with. I follow blogs through Google Reader so I get a preview whenever my favorite blogs are updated.
- I will make lists of short term things to do and long term goals. Long term creative goals will become the screen saver on my PC.
- I will stop making everyday things overly complicated and simplify where possible.
- I will learn Photoshop. I will be more proficient, spend less time editing photos and get better results.
- Organize my studio. I will know what I have and where it is. Time should be spent creating not searching for some missing binding fabric.
Do you have any time savers or time creators? Please share!

A great time of year to re-assess what is important Suzan. Over the years I have re-defined, re-defined and re-defined again. I have decided it is an on-going activity, but when looking back it does work. All the very best.
