How good is your eye for color?

Have you ever seen a quilt and thought "What were they thinking? They must be color blind!". Maybe so. It is thought that .05% of women and 6% of men are color blind.

On Gina Delorenzi's blog I found a link where you can test your ability to see and distinguish between shades and tints of color. Depending upon the type of quilting or artwork that you do, this ability could be critical in achieving the results you desire.

Click on Color Test to take the test. It is easy (rearrange blocks of colors), takes only a few minutes and instantly shows you where you score . I have heard that one's ability to distinguish the subtleties of some colors diminishes with age (something about rods and cones) but was comforted that my test came back pretty good!

Well that was interesting. I think I should have scored better. I wonder if age of monitor would make the test even harder.

I scored much better than I expected. What an interesting test!
