Now what?

I have painted the background black. Now what? I'm a little underwhelmed. It needs something more. Quilting will help give it texture but I'm not sure that will be enough.

I had planned to quilt it and mount it on a round canvas. But now I'm not so sure. Maybe I'll finish it off round and mount it on a square patchwork "under quilt". Any suggestions?

Hi Suzan: had you considered some beading, perhaps in the centre area and then around the outside edge (to a lesser degree)?

I still think you should mount in on canvas. I just think it needs a little sparkle what about some hot fix crystals?

I think it would be a good idea to stay with round. I would leave any decision until after the quilting as that can make a huge difference and is quite often enough an its own, especially with such a striking design.

I still like your original idea to mount it to a round canvas. I think that once it is quilted you will know what to do next. I agree...quilting makes a huge difference and may be enough on its own.
