Ta-dah!

“Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it.” - Danny Kaye

In my opinion, binding (or lack of binding) is an important part of the overall design of a quilt and not just a way to cover up the raw edges; a wider binding was needed for this particular project.

I wondered if a 1" binding would be difficult to accomplish because smaller bindings seem to be more commonly used.  With some encouragement and advice from my friends on TQS (Thanks BJ, Ritzy, Katzzz, Margo, Nancy, Stephanie, & Kathy!) I created a 1" wide binding (Ta-dah!).  I did not find it any more difficult to construct than a narrow binding.  However, mistakes might be more noticable because of the larger size so I was extra careful when measuring and sewing!
