I am blessed. Whenever I start feeling sorry for myself about something I realize I need to get things back into perspective, I resume writing down at least 5 examples of how I am blessed everyday. Here are some of today's blessings:

1. Family.

2. Special Friends (some of whom I have never met in person). The ornament above is from one of those special friends (thank you SO much). Isn't it wonderful!

3. New Year and New Opportunities (my art business will grow!).

4. The stranger in line at Hobbylobby who turns around and smiles genuinely as she whispers "I'm praying for patience".

5. The elderly gentleman ringing the Salvation Army bell who greets everyone warmly despite having a threadbare coat in the 21 degree cold.

6. Never having to go hungry. A recent medical procedure left me on only clear liquids for 36 hours and no liquids whatsoever for an additional 15 hours. I started thinking about children that endure this on a regular basis...

7. Tex-Mex food (see #6 above!).
