Flying Geese
Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 4:14PM I need 70+ flying geese for a quilt that I am making.
Piecemeal Quilts has a very good tutorial for one seam flying geese. This chain sewing method seemed faster than the other methods that I tried. Now that I have all the components made I can start putting them all together and start quilting!
The fall in the air prompted me to pull out the yarn. While I already have more scarves than needed for living in southern Texas, I could not resist this pattern is by Stitch Diva.
It is broomstick lace and bamboo yarn. I could not find the jumbo knitting needle called for so I am using a sharpened dowel from Lowes. It works okay after lots of sanding but just does not look cool. I think I will stain the dowel some wonderful artsy color and will feel better about the whole process.

flying geese
